The Revelation of Jesus Christ to Peter

Mat 16:13  Now when Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, Who do people say that the Son of Man is? 14  And they answered, Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets. 15  He said to them, But who do you [yourselves] say that I am? 16 Simon Peter replied, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 Then Jesus answered him, Blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) are you, Simon Bar-Jonah. For flesh and blood [men] have not revealed this to you, but My Father Who is in heaven. 18  And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros--a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra--a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it]. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven. [Isa. 22:22] 20  Then He sternly and strictly charged and warned the disciples to tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.

  • Jesus asked His disciples:

    • “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”

    • And they answered,

      • Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.

  • He said to them,

    • But who do you [yourselves] say that I am?

    • Simon Peter replied,

      • You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

        • Who is the Christ! The Messiah! God coming to save His people from oppression and to be there King

        • What was prophesied about Him? We must look at the Old Testament prophecies of the prophets regards the Messiah / the Christ!

  • Then Jesus answered him,

    • Blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) are you, Simon Bar-Jonah.

    • For flesh and blood [men] have not revealed this to you,

      • but My Father Who is in heaven.

        • The revelation of WHO Jesus Christ is can ONLY come by revelation from God the Father

    • And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros--a large piece of rock],

    • and on this rock [Greek, petra--a huge rock like Gibraltar]

      • On which ROCK will Jesus build His Church? Peter / Jesus Christ?

        • The ROCK is the Revelation of WHO Jesus Christ IS!

        • Who is Jesus Christ?

          • The Christ – The expectancy of all the prophets

          • The Son of the Living God (Isa 9:6)

      • I will build My church,

        • Jesus built His church upon the Revelation of who is Jesus Christ

      • and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it

        • [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it].

      • I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven;

        • Those who understand WHO Jesus Christ is will be given awesome authority

        • and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth

          • must be what is already bound in heaven;

        • and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth

          • must be what is already loosed in heaven.

  • Then He sternly and strictly charged and warned the disciples to tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.

Daniel’s Revelation and experience of Jesus Christ

The Ancient of Days Revealed to Daniel

Dan 7:9  I kept looking until thrones were placed [for the assessors with the Judge], and the Ancient of Days [God, the eternal Father] took His seat, Whose garment was white as snow and the hair of His head like pure wool. His throne was like the fiery flame; its wheels were burning fire. [1Ki. 22:19; Psa. 90:2; Eze. 1:26-28; Dan. 7:13, Dan. 7:22; Mat. 19:28; Rev. 20:4] 10 A stream of fire came forth from before Him; a thousand thousands ministered to Him and ten thousand times ten thousand rose up and stood before Him; the Judge was seated [the court was in session] and the books were opened.

  • In a vision Daniel saw the Ancient to Days

    • Who is the Ancient of Days? God the Everlasting Father

  • Daniel described the Ancient of Days

    • Whose garment was white as snow and

    • the hair of His head like pure wool.

    • His throne was like the fiery flame;

      • its wheels were burning fire.

      • [1Ki. 22:19; Psa. 90:2; Eze. 1:26-28; Dan. 7:13, Dan. 7:22; Mat. 19:28; Rev. 20:4]

      • A stream of fire came forth from before Him;

      • a thousand thousands ministered to Him and ten thousand times ten thousand rose up and stood before Him;​​

Dan 7:13  I saw in the night visions, and behold, on the clouds of the heavens came One like a Son of man, and He came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him. 14 And there was given Him [the Messiah] dominion and glory and kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and His kingdom is one which shall not be destroyed. [Rev. 5:1-10]

  • Daniel saw how One like a Son of man were brought to the Ancient of Days!

    • The One was brought to God in heaven was LIKE a Man and looked like one of the sons of man!

    • This Man was Jesus Christ, the Son of God

    • Here it seems like there are two gods

    • Where does Jesus say He came from? The bosom of the Father!!!

    • Jesus Christ is the Word of God and the Word IS God, but the Word is also WITH God

The Man with Gabriel whose Power frightened Daniel

Dan 8:15 When I, even I, Daniel, had seen the vision, I sought to understand it; then behold, there stood before me one [Gabriel] with the appearance of a man. 16  And I heard a man's voice between the banks of the [river] Ulai which called and said, Gabriel, make this man [Daniel] understand the vision. [Dan. 9:21; Luke 1:19, Luke 1:26] 17 So he came near where I stood, and when he came, I was frightened and fell on my face. But he said to me, Understand, O son of man, for the [fulfillment of the] vision belongs to [events that shall occur in] the time of the end. 18  Now as he [Gabriel] was speaking with me, I fell stunned and in deep unconsciousness with my face to the ground; but he touched me and set me upright [where I had stood].

  • When I, even I, Daniel, had seen the vision, I sought to understand it;

  • There stood before me one [Gabriel] with the appearance of a man.

  • So he came near where I stood, and when he came, I was frightened and fell on my face

    • The experience was overpowering and overwhelming

    • God revealed Himself to Daniel in mighty way!

  • And I heard a man's voice between the banks of the [river] Ulai which called and said,

    • Daniel hears a voice of a man

    • God speaks to Daniel through the voice of a man

  • Gabriel, make this man [Daniel] understand the vision.

    • [Dan. 9:21; Luke 1:19, Luke 1:26]

    • Where does Daniel hear this voice come from? Between the banks of the river!

    • How many beings are here?

      • Make this man [Daniel] understand the vision! There are two persons!!!

        • Who is speaking to whom?

          • The Man is speaking to the angel Gabriel

        • Who is the man who is speaking to Gabriel? Let’s see below!

  • But he said to me,

    • Understand, O son of man, for the [fulfillment of the] vision belongs to [events that shall occur in] the time of the end.

  • Now as he [Gabriel] was speaking with me,

    • I fell stunned and in deep unconsciousness with my face to the ground;

      • I fell stunned and in deep unconsciousness with my face to the ground

        • Daniel fell into a deep unconsciousness = trance

    • but he touched me and set me upright [where I had stood].

The Mighty Heavenly Being revealed to Daniel

Dan 10:4 On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was on the bank of the great river Hiddekel [which is the Tigris], 5  I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, a man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with pure gold of Uphaz. 6  His body also was [a golden luster] like beryl, his face had the appearance of lightning, his eyes were like flaming torches, his arms and his feet like glowing burnished bronze, and the sound of his words was like the noise of a multitude [of people or the roaring of the sea]. [Rev. 1:12-16; Rev. 19:6] 7 And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision [of this heavenly being], for the men who were with me did not see the vision, but a great trembling fell upon them so that they fled to hide themselves. 8 So I was left alone and saw this great vision, and no strength was left in me, for my fresh appearance was turned to pallor; I grew weak and faint [with fright]. 9 Then I heard the sound of his words; and when I heard the sound of his words, I fell on my face in a deep sleep, with my face [sunk] to the ground. 10 And behold, a hand touched me, which set me [unsteadily] upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. 11 And [the angel] said to me, O Daniel, you greatly beloved man, understand the words that I speak to you and stand upright, for to you I am now sent. And while he was saying this word to me, I stood up trembling. 12  Then he said to me, Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your mind and heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come as a consequence of [and in response to] your words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me for twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief [of the celestial] princes, came to help me, for I remained there with the kings of Persia.

  • On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was on the bank of the great river Hiddekel [which is the Tigris],

    • Daniel has a vision and experienced of the same Being he had seen before

  • I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold

    • a man clothed in linen,

      • Daniel had an experience with one who had the appearance of a man

        • When Man looks in a mirror he must see God

          • When God looks in the mirror He sees a man

          • An image is seen in a mirror – Thus

          • Man was made into the image and the likeness of God

          • His body also was [a golden luster] like beryl,

          • his face had the appearance of lightning,

          • his eyes were like flaming torches,

          • his arms and his feet like glowing burnished bronze,

          • and the sound of his words was like the noise of a multitude [of people or the roaring of the sea].

            • The Man whom Daniel saw looks like the One who appeared to the Apostle John

            • This the Almighty! The Ancient of Days

            • This the Revelation of Jesus Christ

              • [Rev. 1:12-16; Rev. 19:6]

          • And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision [of this heavenly being],

            • Who is this Heavenly Being? Is this the Ancient of Days or One like a son of Man?

              • Whose garment was white as snow and

              • the hair of His head like pure wool.

              • His throne was like the fiery flame;

            • The Ancient of Days looks like a man!

  • So I was left alone and saw this great vision,

    • and no strength was left in me,

    • for my fresh appearance was turned to pallor;

    • I grew weak and faint [with fright].

      • He fell into another trance before God

​

  • Then I heard the sound of his words; and when I heard the sound of his words, I fell on my face in a deep sleep, with my face [sunk] to the ground. 10 And behold, a hand touched me, which set me [unsteadily] upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. 11 And [the angel] said to me, O Daniel, you greatly beloved man, understand the words that I speak to you and stand upright, for to you I am now sent. And while he was saying this word to me, I stood up trembling. 12  Then he said to me, Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your mind and heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come as a consequence of [and in response to] your words.

  •  
  • The angel Gabriel was again sent to explain and open the vision to Daniel

  • Gabriel revealed to Daniel that he could not get through to bring the answer that was sent, but

  • 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me for twenty-one days.

  • Then Michael,

    • Who is Michael? The Archangel of God – “Who is like God?”

    • Michael is called one of the Chief Prince of the princes!?

    • Thus Michael is a commander of Heavenly Armies

  •  one of the chief [of the celestial] princes,

    • Michael – Is the Chief Princes of the princes

      • Therefore Michael was the One who appeared with the angel Gabriel?

      • Is He not the One who opened the way for Gabriel?

        • Who opened the way for all mankind to be saved

      • Therefore Michael Is the man who spoke to Gabriel!

    • came to help me,

    • for I remained there with the kings of Persia.

Only the Prince Michael stands with Daniel

Dan 10:20  Then he said, Do you know why I have come to you? And now I will return to fight with the [hostile] prince of Persia; and when I have gone, behold, the [hostile] prince of Greece will come. 21  But I will tell you what is inscribed in the writing of truth or the Book of Truth. There is no one who holds with me and strengthens himself against these [hostile spirit forces] except Michael, your prince [national guardian angel].

  • Then he said, Do you know why I have come to you?

  • And now I will return to fight with the [hostile] prince of Persia;

  • and when I have gone, behold, the [hostile] prince of Greece will come.

  • But I will tell you what is inscribed in the writing of truth or the Book of Truth.

    • There is no one who holds with me and strengthens himself against these [hostile spirit forces]

      • except Michael,

        • The only One stands with the angel Gabriel is Michael,

        • your prince [national guardian angel].

          • Daniel’s Prince

            • Only Michael fights for Daniel

            • Only Michael has the strength to overcome the power of the other princes

            • Who is Michael? - The national guardian angel

          • your prince [national guardian angel].

            • The national guardian angel = Archangel Michael

Michael the Great Prince over Israel

Dan 12:1 AND AT that time [of the end] Michael shall arise, the great [angelic] prince who defends and has charge of your [Daniel's] people. And there shall be a time of trouble, straitness, and distress such as never was since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the Book [of God's plan for His own]. 2  And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake: some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt and abhorrence. [John 5:29] 3  And the teachers and those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness (to uprightness and right standing with God) [shall give forth light] like the stars forever and ever. [Mat. 13:43] 4  But you, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the Book until the time of the end. [Then] many shall run to and fro and search anxiously [through the Book], and knowledge [of God's purposes as revealed by His prophets] shall be increased and become great. [Amos 8:12]

  • AND AT that time [of the end]

    • Michael shall arise,

      • It is prophesied that at the time of the end the Mighty Angel Michael will arise

      • What does it mean that Michael shall arise? It is when the Morning Star arises in your hearts (2Pet 1:19)

      • the great [angelic] prince who defends and has charge of your [Daniel's] people.

        • The Prince defends the Jewish people

        • Who is the Defender of Israel and the Jews?

          • God the Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

    • And there shall be a time of trouble, straitness, and distress such as never was since there was a nation till that time.

  • But at that time

    • your people shall be delivered,

      • everyone whose name shall be found written in the Book [of God's plan for His own].

      • And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake:

      • some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt and abhorrence. [John 5:29]

        • How do you turn people to righteousness in the New Testament

          • Through the righteousness of God in Christ

          • They will restore the teaching about God’s righteousness in Christ Jesus

  • But you, O Daniel,

    • shut up the words and seal the Book until the time of the end.

    • [Then] many shall run to and fro

      • and search anxiously [through the Book],

      • and knowledge [of God's purposes as revealed by His prophets]

      • shall be increased and become great. [Amos 8:12]

The Man who was hanging above the River

Dan 12:5  Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, there stood two others, the one on the brink of the river on this side and the other on the brink of the river on that side. 6  And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? [Dan. 10:5] 7  And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right and his left hand toward the heavens and swore by Him Who lives forever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half a time [or three and one-half years]; and when they have made an end of shattering and crushing the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

  • Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, there stood two others,

    • the one on the brink of the river on this side

    • and the other on the brink of the river on that side.

  • And one said to the man clothed in linen,

    • who was above the waters of the river,

    • Who is asking the Man in linen clothes: “How long…?” Gabriel

    • How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? [Dan. 10:5]

  • And I heard the man clothed in linen,

    • who was above the waters of the river,

    • Where was the Man with white linen clothes? He was ABOVE the waters of the river

    • I had an experience on the day of Atonement – I was in the Spirit and saw three visions

      • One - the High Priest worshipping before the Incense altar, lifting up a golden cense

      • Two - was a Whirlwind standing on the horizon in the north – Referring to Elijah the prophet caught up

      • Three – I was 5-6 meter up in the sky, hanging above a river, looking down at people below

        • Immediately knew I was in the Angel of the Lord – Who hanged over the river when Daniel saw Him

        • I was allowed to see as God sees, through the Angel of the LORD’s eyes

      • Now the vision which Daniel saw becomes clearer

      • Where did Daniel hear the voice come from? From between the banks of the river

      • Who then is this Man who Daniel saw and fell down before Him as if dead?

        • The Angel of the LORD

        • Michael the Great Prince

        • Yahshua – Jesus Christ

      • when he held up his right and his left hand toward the heavens and swore by Him Who lives forever

      • that it shall be for a time, times, and a half a time [or three and one-half years];

        • This the same vision which the apostle John saw of a Mighty Angel – Rev 10

      • and when they have made an end of shattering and crushing the power of the holy people,

      • all these things shall be finished.

The Revelation of the Angel of the LORD

The Apostle John’s Revelation of Jesus Christ as an Angel

Rev 10:1  THEN I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, robed in a cloud, with a [halo like a] rainbow over his head; his face was like the sun, and his feet (legs) were like columns of fire. 2  He had a little book (scroll) open in his hand. He set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, 3  And he shouted with a loud voice like the roaring of a lion; and when he had shouted, the seven thunders gave voice and uttered their message in distinct words. 4  And when the seven thunders had spoken (sounded), I was going to write [it down], but I heard a voice from heaven saying, Seal up what the seven thunders have said! Do not write it down! 5  Then the [mighty] angel whom I had seen stationed on sea and land raised his right hand to heaven (the sky), [Deu. 32:40; Dan. 12:6-7] 6  And swore in the name of (by) Him Who lives forever and ever, Who created the heavens (sky) and all they contain, and the earth and all that it contains, and the sea and all that it contains. [He swore] that no more time should intervene and there should be no more waiting or delay, 7  But that when the days come when the trumpet call of the seventh angel is about to be sounded, then God's mystery (His secret design, His hidden purpose), as He had announced the glad tidings to His servants the prophets, should be fulfilled (accomplished, completed). [Dan. 12:6-7]

  • THEN I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven

    • The Apostle John saw a Mighty Angel who

      • robed in a cloud, with a [halo like a] rainbow over his head;

      • his face was like the sun,

      • and his feet (legs) were like columns of fire.

      • He set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,

      • And he shouted with a loud voice like the roaring of a lion;

        • Who is the Lion of Judah? Their God - Jesus Christ!!!

      • and when he had shouted, the seven thunders gave voice and uttered their message in distinct words.

        • Who is this Mighty Angel?

        • The Angel of the LORD – Jesus Christ – Yahshua the Messiah

    • What did this Mighty Angel do?

      • Then the [mighty] angel whom I had seen stationed on sea and land

        • raised his right hand to heaven (the sky),

        • [Deut. 32:40; Dan. 12:6-7]

        • And swore in the name of (by) Him Who lives forever and ever, Who created the heavens (sky) and all they contain, and the earth and all that it contains, and the sea and all that it contains. [He swore] that no more time should intervene and there should be no more waiting or delay,

        • But that when the days come when the trumpet call of the seventh angel is about to be sounded, then God's mystery (His secret design, His hidden purpose), as He had announced the glad tidings to His servants the prophets, should be fulfilled (accomplished, completed). [Dan. 12:6-7]

    • Why does God reveal Jesus Christ like this to John?

      • God is unlocking a mystery which was hidden since the revelation which the prophet Daniel saw

The Messenger – The Angel of the Covenant

Mal 3:1 BEHOLD, I send My messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me. And the Lord [the Messiah], Whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; the Messenger or Angel of the covenant, Whom you desire, behold, He shall come, says the Lord of hosts. [Mat. 11:10; Luke 1:13-17, Luke 1:76]

  • BEHOLD, I send My messenger,

    • and he shall prepare the way before Me.

      • God will send another messenger to prepare the way before His second coming​

      • This messenger is a person called - Elijah the prophet

  • And the Lord [the Messiah],

    • Whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple;

      • Did Jesus suddenly come to His temple? No

      • When does He – the Messiah, suddenly come to His temple?

        • When the Holy Spirit comes into us – His temple or bodies

  • the Messenger or

  • Angel of the covenant,

    • Who is the One who made the Covenant with Abraham? YHWH through the Angel of the LORD

  • Whom you desire, behold, He shall come, says the Lord of hosts.

    • [Mat. 11:10; Luke 1:13-17, Luke 1:76]

    • The Angel of the Covenant = The LORD of Hosts

Peter’s Revelation of Jesus Christ

Peter’s Experience of Jesus Christ's Transfiguration 

Mat 17:1 AND SIX days after this, Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves. 2 And His appearance underwent a change in their presence; and His face shone clear and bright like the sun, and His clothing became as white as light. 3 And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, who kept talking with Him. 4 Then Peter began to speak and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good and delightful that we are here; if You approve, I will put up three booths here--one for You and one for Moses and one for Elijah. 5  While he was still speaking, behold, a shining cloud [composed of light] overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, This is My Son, My Beloved, with Whom I am [and have always been] delighted. Listen to Him! [Psa. 2:7; Isa. 42:1] 6 When the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were seized with alarm and struck with fear. 7 But Jesus came and touched them and said, Get up, and do not be afraid.

  • Jesus Christ when up on a high Mountain to reveal Himself to three of His disciples and apostles – Peter, James and John:

  • And His appearance underwent a change in their presence;

    • His face shone clear and bright like the sun,

    • and His clothing became as white as light.

      • Peter has experienced with Jesus Christ in His glorified form

      • Peter saw Jesus as HE IS in heaven!

    • And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, who kept talking with Him.

  • Then Peter began to speak and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good and delightful that we are here;

    • if You approve, I will put up three booths here--one for You and one for Moses and one for Elijah.

  • While he was still speaking, behold,

    • a shining cloud [composed of light] overshadowed them,

      • The Cloud of God’s Glory envelope Jesus Christ

      • Peter experienced the LORD in His position of authority and power at the right-hand of the Majesty in heaven!

    • and a voice from the cloud said,

      • Peter did not see God the Father, but only heard His voice, but did not see His form

      • This is My Son, My Beloved, with Whom I am [and have always been] delighted.

      • Listen to Him! [Psa. 2:7; Isa. 42:1]

  • When the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were seized with alarm and struck with fear.

  • But Jesus came and touched them and said, Get up, and do not be afraid.

God the Father Glorified in the Son

Mat 3:16  And when Jesus was baptized, He went up at once out of the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he [John] saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on Him. 17 And behold, a voice from heaven said: “This is My Son, My Beloved, in Whom I delight!” [Psa. 2:7; Isa. 42:1]

  • And when Jesus was baptized,

  • He went up at once out of the water; and behold,

    • the heavens were opened

    • and he [John] saw the Spirit of God

      • descending like a dove

      • and alighting on Him.

  • And behold,

    • a voice from heaven said

      • This is My Son,

      • My Beloved,

        • in Whom I delight! [Psa. 2:7; Isa. 42:1]

          • God was pleased to reveal Himself not only through the Son but also IN the Son

The Morning Star Rises in your hearts

2Pet 1:16  For we were not following cleverly devised stories when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty (grandeur, authority of sovereign power). 17  For when He was invested with honor and glory from God the Father and a voice was borne to Him by the [splendid] Majestic Glory [in the bright cloud that overshadowed Him, saying], This is My beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased and delight, 18  We [actually] heard this voice borne out of heaven, for we were together with Him on the holy mountain. 19 And we have the prophetic word [made] firmer still. You will do well to pay close attention to it as to a lamp shining in a dismal (squalid and dark) place, until the day breaks through [the gloom] and the Morning Star rises (comes into being) in your hearts.

  • For we were not following cleverly devised stories when we made known to you

    • the power

      • There is great power in understanding WHO Jesus Christ is!

      • There is great authority in knowing WHO Jesus Christ is

    • and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah),

  • but we were eyewitnesses

    • of His majesty

    • (grandeur, authority of sovereign power).

    • What was Peter an eye-witness of?

      • He knew who Jesus Christ was!

      • He saw and experienced the power and authority of Jesus Christ in heaven

    • For when He was invested with honor and glory

      • from God the Father

      • How did God invest Jesus Christ with honour and glory?

        • and a voice was borne to Him by the [splendid] Majestic Glory

          • No one will every see God! God has no form or shape​

        • [in the bright cloud that overshadowed Him, saying],

        • This is My beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased and delight,

          • God was VERY pleased to reveal Himself IN the Son - God in the flesh!

      • We [actually] heard this voice borne out of heaven,

        • for we were together with Him on the holy mountain.

  • And we have the prophetic word [made] firmer still.

    • God made the prophecy of the Old Testament prophets more sure by

      • Showing the apostles Jesus Christ in His glorified state

      • By the audible voice which the three apostles heard from heaven

      • God confirmed it Himself that Jesus was His Son IN whom HE was well pleased

    • You will do well to pay close attention to it as to a lamp shining in a dismal (squalid and dark) place,

      • Prophecy in the Old Testament about what God’s plan was, was not clear

      • God kept revealing parts of the truth

      • It was only a partial revelation of God’s plan

      • God revealed Himself in many and in various ways

        • each only revealing a part of God character and person (Heb 1:1)

    • until

      • There was a reason WHY God revealed Himself in Christ Jesus

        • It was so that we would pay close attention to the Word of the prophets

        • So that God could reach the same goal with us as He did IN and through His Son

      • the day breaks through [the gloom]

      • and the Morning Star rises

        • (comes into being) in your hearts. (Rev 2:28)

        • When does the Morning Star arise in the heart of the believer?

          • When you become like Jesus Christ - the Son of God

          • When a person grow up into the full maturity of the Son of God

I will give you the Morning Star

Rev 2:26  And he who overcomes (is victorious) and who obeys My commands to the [very] end [doing the works that please Me], I will give him authority and power over the nations; 27 And he shall rule them with a sceptre (rod) of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, and [his power over them shall be] like that which I Myself have received from My Father; [Psa. 2:8-9] 28  And I will give him the Morning Star.

  • And he who overcomes (is victorious)

    • God has called us to overcome what is put in our path!

  • and who obeys My commands to the [very] end

    • We can give in and grow weary half way in the battle

    • We must ABIDE in the Word of Jesus Christ

    • [doing the works that please Me],

      • When we live like Christ and as Christ on this earth we are pleasing to God in us!

  • I will give him

    • authority and power over the nations;

      • God has given man authority and power, but it was lost at the fall of man

      • Man gave man authority and power to rule over and subdue the earth for His sake

      • IN CHRIST that authority has been restored to those who believe

    • And he shall rule them with a sceptre (rod) of iron,

      • What is the iron septre? The rod of God’s righteousness

      • as when earthen pots are broken in pieces,

    • and [his power over them shall be] like that which I Myself have received from My Father; [Psa. 2:8-9]

      • We will be able to do what Jesus had done and even greater things than these!

  • And I will give him

    • The Morning Star

      • Who is the Morning Star? Jesus Christ

      • I, Jesus, have sent My messenger (Angel) to you to witness and to give you assurance of these things for the churches (assemblies).

      • I am the Root (the Source) and the Offspring of David,

      • the radiant and brilliant Morning Star. [Isa. 11:1, Isa. 11:10]

      • William Branham saw 7 Stars

        • These 7 angels explained they were 7 actual people who,

          • by the Spirit of God,

          • helped restore the truth to the church of Jesus Christ

        • The stars appeared in a triangular shape - 1 Star at the top and 6 at the bottom

        • The Star at the top was the Morning Star

          • He walked and lived like Christ in the same charater and authority

Important Practical Implication for us

As He IS – so we ARE on Earth

  • We MUST each one have a personal revelation of Jesus Christ

    • You cannot go on the revelation of others

  • We all have the same goal​

    • To grow up into the full maturity of the Son of God​

  • What is your revelation of Jesus Christ?

    • What are you willing to sacrifice and give up inorer to become like Jesus Christ?​
