God’s Ways

Isa 55:7  Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have love, pity, and mercy for him, and to our God, for He will multiply to him His abundant pardon. 8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.

 

  • God’s ways and thoughts does not work as our ways and thoughts

  • We think earthly He thinks spiritual

  • The Heavens = The Universe & The earth

    • Compare how great the earth is compared to the largest star

    • That is how high the ways of God are to man’s ways

Examples of God’s Ways

Man does not know God – Lost the ability to communicate with God because of sin

Praise & Worship – Draw near to kiss

Where God lives there is:

  • No Time = Eternal

  • No Space = All places at the same time

  • Knows the end from the beginning

 

God work all things according to His will

We must learn that all types and shadows on earth was meant to help us understand God eg.

  • Compare the earthly Father to the heavenly

  • The Temple represented the body soul and Spirit and the First / Second and Third Heaven

Knowing God

1John 4:6 We are [children] of God. Whoever is learning to know God [progressively to perceive, recognize, and understand God by observation and experience, and to get an ever-clearer knowledge of Him] listens to us; and he who is not of God does not listen or pay attention to us. By this we know (recognize) the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error. 7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves [his fellowmen] is begotten (born) of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God [to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him]. 8 He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love.

 

  • We will get to know the Holy Spirit progressively and through personal experience

  • Only when we know the Holy Spirit will we be able to discern the spirit of error

  • Through love we become to know God in a more intimate way

    • Therefore we must remain in His Love!

 

Prov 9:10 The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning (the chief and choice part) of Wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight and understanding.

 

  • Two things to know God

    • Reverence and worshipful fear = Wisdom

    • Knowledge of the Holy One = Insight & Understanding

 

Jer 9:23  Thus says the Lord: Let not the wise and skillful person glory and boast in his wisdom and skill; let not the mighty and powerful person glory and boast in his strength and power; let not the person who is rich [in physical gratification and earthly wealth] glory and boast in his [temporal satisfactions and earthly] riches; 24 But let him who glories glory in this: that he understands and knows Me [personally and practically, directly discerning and recognizing My character], that I am the Lord, Who practices loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth, for in these things I delight, says the Lord. [I Cor. 1:31; II Cor. 10:17.]

 

  • The most important thing God want us to achieve and pursue in life is to ‘KNOW’ Him

    • God is Spirit & God is Love

    • We must know Him in the spirit and by the Spirit

  • Sin has separated us from knowing God or hearing God’s voice (Isa 59:1-2)

  • Through Jesus Christ and by faith which makes all things are possible we can access what God has made available again

  • Spirit principles works different from physical principles

    • God speaks through visions and dreams, because WE are imperfect - The Soul must be cleansed

    • God speaks using a ‘knowing’ / ‘still small voice’

    • What we see is what we hear and what we hear is what we see (Hab 2:1-2)

    • God is holy and righteous and hates pride and arrogance

Faith

Heb 11:1  Now FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

 

  • Faith makes the invisible & the impossible visible and possible

  • How quick are you to grasp – ‘snap’ - Mustard seed – ability to convert the words into reality of their meaning

  • By Faith all things are possible

 

Rom 14:22 Your personal convictions [on such matters]--exercise [them] as in God's presence, keeping them to yourself [striving only to know the truth and obey His will]. Blessed (happy, to be envied) is he who has no reason to judge himself for what he approves [who does not convict himself by what he chooses to do]. 23  But the man who has doubts (misgivings, an uneasy conscience) about eating, and then eats [perhaps because of you], stands condemned [before God], because he is not true to his convictions and he does not act from faith. For whatever does not originate and proceed from faith is sin [whatever is done without a conviction of its approval by God is sinful].

 

  • When do things that is against our conviction or faith we are in SIN

    • It might not be sin for others, but for you it is sin

    • These things is called disputable matters and are NOT salvation issues

  • We must be able to explain and know why I believe and allow what I believe

  • We must just in this make sure we do not approve of or believe things that are false

The Spirit

2Cor 3:16 But whenever a person turns [in repentance] to the Lord, the veil is stripped off and taken away. 17  Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom). [Isa. 61:1, 2.]

 

  • Religion has stolen our freedom in Christ Jesus

    • Religion is man trying to please God in his own effort by trying to be perfect

  • Jesus is the Lord! Paul says that the Lord Jesus is the Spirit

    • When we pray we do not have to be confused about who to pray to when we speak to God

  • God has set us free from fear / bondage to the law

    • Many human religious traditions have been developed which are not the word of God

  • The Spirit brings a godly peace when we do what is right in God’s sight

  • We have been restored into the Presence of God by the blood of Jesus Christ

    • Now we can communicate with God again in two way communication

 

Rom 5:1 THEREFORE, SINCE we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). 2 Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God's favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God.

 

  • We can only access what God has done by faith

  • God has forgiven our sins therefore there now peace between you and God

    • Sin no longer separates us – We are reconciled to our original state of glory

  • God has brought us into a new higher state of favor

  • We have now entered the Most Holy and their will experience God’s Presence & His love for us

  • God desires for us to experience and enjoy His glory!

    • We must know the Spirit by faith and experience

    • God wants to manifest Himself to us personally

    • Our emotions is not God speaking, but God can speak through our emotions – we must learn to discern between the two

    • God speaks in parables – difficult sayings – The Hebrew language - Spiritual principles / Mysteries of the kingdom explained – ‘Something like’

    • The Body a Temple – You are a Spirit living in a soul having a body

The Presence of God

1Cor 12:1 NOW ABOUT the spiritual gifts (the special endowments of supernatural energy), brethren, I do not want you to be misinformed.

 

Zec 3:9 For behold, upon the stone which I have set before Joshua, upon that one stone are seven eyes or facets [the all-embracing providence of God and the sevenfold radiations of the Spirit of God]. Behold, I will carve upon it its inscription, says the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity and guilt of this land in a single day. [II Chron. 16:9; Jer. 50:20; Zech. 4:10.]

 

  • The Presence of God radiates upon our bodies

 

Rom 8:16 The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that ‘we are’ ‘children’ of God.

or Rom 8:16  The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that [‘have our being’ ‘as produced’] of God.

 

  • We get a strong confirmation that what is said is produced from God.

  • The Spirit inside confirms the truth of the words / God’s Presence

 

  • God cannot be seen, but can be experienced

    • Like wind that blows – it cannot be seen, but we can feel it and see its effect

    • The Presence of God is real and tangible

  • The Presence of God is experienced by:

    • ‘Peace’ / ‘Love of God’ / ‘Power to heal’ / ‘Prophecy’ / ‘Fire’ / ‘Deep awe’ / We become lame in the knees / Burning or heat / Tingling in the hand palms or over the body

    • Like Fire = Feels like electric currents of energy flowing through our bodies

  • We must learn to allow the Holy Spirit to do what He wants to do through us

The Spiritual Body

  • We have a spiritual body which we cannot see

  • This body has spiritual senses like the physical senses

  • We have eyes – Prophetic vision to see into the spirit or interpret spiritual principles with spiritual pictures

  • We have spiritual ears – We hear from the belly – The heart or center of man’s being

  • We can perceive or know something in the spirit

  • We can also smell and taste

  • Learn to understand how God wants to speak or communicate with you

  • God can only communicate with you as you allow Him

The Love of God

Eph 3:16 May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality]. 17 May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, 18 That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God's devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; 19 [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!

 

  • We must be rooted on God’s love for us

  • God wants us to be like a sponge – soaking until we are full of the love and glory of God

  • Until we come to know for ourselves by personal experience ‘that love’, which no man can take away from you

 

  • God is Love

  • To know God is to know His Love

  • God does not change therefore:

    • His Love is unconditional and does not change

    • God’s love for us is real and emotional also – Eros / Phileo / Storge

    • God’s love gives life and build up or comforts

    • God’s Love speaks the truth and does not compromise

    • God love flow through us

  • We must learn to accept and drink His love, because we need it like bread

  • God’s Love overcome the enemy

  • God’s love can never fail

Deliverance

Eph 1:7 In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor,

 

  • Salvation = Salvation of Body / Soul and Spirit

    • Body – Healing from sickness

    • Soul – Deliverance emotional hurts & pains

    • Spirit – Restoration of separated from God in spiritual bondage

 

Isa 61:1  THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound, [Rom. 10:15.]

 

  • We are bound by sin and sickness

  • The Spirit wants to enable us so that we would be supernaturally empowered to be able to set men free from bondage

Surrender to God

1Pet 5:6 Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you, 7  Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. [Ps. 55:22.]

 

  • Cast – Forcefully throw away from you

  • Don’t think you know something

  • Let go and allow God to do whatever He wants to do

  • Give over your control of things – You are not your own god

  • Let go of pride and self-righteousness

Drinking or Thirst

Isa 5:13  Therefore My people go into captivity [to their enemies] without knowing it and because they have no knowledge [of God]. And their honorable men [their glory] are famished, and their common people are parched with thirst.

 

  • We are spiritually hungry and thirsty and do not know it

  • We have a thirst and we don’t always realize it

  • We need love / acceptance / to be needed / to be worthy

  • The Holy Spirit can fill that need daily

 

Isa 55:1 WAIT and listen, everyone who is thirsty! Come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Yes, come, buy [priceless, spiritual] wine and milk without money and without price [simply for the self-surrender that accepts the blessing]. [Rev. 21:6, 7; 22:17.] 2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your earnings for what does not satisfy? Hearken diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness [the profuseness of spiritual joy]. [Jer. 31:12-14.]

 

  • The Water that God wants to give us to drink the Holy Spirit

  • The Bread the God wants us to eat is the Holy Spirit

  • We must just surrender and accept what God gives us

 

Joh 7:37  But on the last [day], the great day of the feast, Jesus had stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone is thirsting, let him come to Me and be drinking. 38  "The one believing [or, trusting] in Me, just as the Scripture said, 'Out of his belly [or, innermost being] will flow rivers of living water." [no specific OT reference, but for general idea see Isaiah 55:1; 58:11; Ezek 47:1; Joel 3:18; Zech 13:1; 14:8] 39  But this He said concerning the Spirit, which the ones believing in Him were about to be receiving, for the Holy Spirit was not yet [given], because Jesus was not yet glorified.

 

  • Rivers of life giving water will satisfy you from within, out of your belly

  • The Rivers of water = The Holy Spirit

Waiting on God

Isa 30:15  For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning [to Me] and resting [in Me] you shall be saved; in quietness and in [trusting] confidence shall be your strength. But you would not, 18 And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]! [John 14:3, 27; II Cor. 12:9; Heb. 12:2; I John 3:16; Rev. 3:5.]

 

  • We must learn to wait and expect God to fill us from the inside out

 

Psa 5:3 In the morning You hear my voice, O Lord; in the morning I prepare [a prayer, a sacrifice] for You and watch and wait [for You to speak to my heart].

 

Psa 27:14 Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord.

 

Psa 37:7  Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him and patiently lean yourself upon Him; fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass. 8  Cease from anger and forsake wrath; fret not yourself--it tends only to evildoing.

 

  • We must expect God to reveal Himself to us when we wait for Him

  • We must not think that we are not good enough to be in His presence, but enter boldly before His Throne of Grace

  • Learn to become still – Lean on the Holy Spirit – leave angry thoughts

 

Rom 10:10  For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. 11  The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed. [Ps. 34:22; Isa. 28:16; 49:23; Jer. 17:7.]

 

  • God will not disappoint you when you wait on Him, trusting that He would reveal Himself to you is some way

The Joy of the Lord

Jer 8:22  Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people restored? [Because Zion no longer enjoyed the presence of the Great Physician!] [Exod. 15:26.]

 

Neh 8:10 Then [Ezra] told them, Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet drink, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. And be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold.

 

1Ch 16:27  Honor and majesty are [found] in His presence; strength and joy are [found] in His sanctuary.

 

Rom 14:17  [After all] the kingdom of God is not a matter of [getting the] food and drink [one likes], but instead it is righteousness (that state which makes a person acceptable to God) and [heart] peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

 

Mal 4:2 But unto you who revere and worshipfully fear My name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings and His beams, and you shall go forth and gambol like calves [released] from the stall and leap for joy.

 

  • In God’s presence is healing = The Balm of Gilead – This brings deliverance and joy

  • True joy is found in God’s Presence

  • Joy of acceptance / Joy of forgiveness / Joy of love and peace

  • Joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit

  • True Joy comes from the Holy Spirit

  • The Presence of God brings joy that brings healing – The Balm of Gilead

  • God wants us to rejoice and be free in worshipping Him

The Hand of the Lord

Ezek 1:3  The word of the Lord came expressly to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the Lord was there upon him. [I Kings 18:46; II Kings 3:15.]

 

Ezek 3:14  So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away [in the vision], and I went in bitterness [of discouragement] in the heat of my spirit; and the hand of the Lord was strong upon me.

 

Ezek 3:22  And the hand of the Lord was there upon me, and He said to me, Arise, go forth into the plain and I will talk with you there.

 

  • What is the hand of the Lord?

  • The prophet used a term to try and describe what he experienced which he called the hand of the Lord

  • When the Holy Spirit’s Presence heavily comes upon the Spirit he calls it the hand of the Lord

Accidental Interception

Prayer = Paga = Accidental Interception

God always speak to us – Two way communication between us and God

We must learn to tune with the Spirit of love and peace

Like tuning in to a certain wave length

We accidentally find a station

Eg. Pray in the Spirit – Heard the words:

China / Siberia / Cumin / Sanballat / Omri / Remnant exc.

The Spirit is hovering over the earth – The Third Heaven

Rhema Word

Matt 4:4  But He replied, It has been written, Man shall not live and be upheld and sustained by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God. [Deut. 8:3.]

 

John 6:63  It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life.

 

  • The Word becomes flesh – Real / Alive

  • Only the Spirit of God can make the word life

 

Heb 4:12  For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.

 

  • Word = Logos – Knowledge

  • Word that God speaks = Rhema – Revelation

  • God knows all things by the Spirit – He addresses the heart and the root not the fruit

The Word of the Lord came

Gen 15:1 AFTER THESE things, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram, I am your Shield, your abundant compensation, and your reward shall be exceedingly great.

 

1Sam 15:10  Then the word of the Lord came to Samuel, saying,

 

1Ki 16:1  AND THE word of the Lord came to Jehu son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,

 

1Ki 18:1  AFTER MANY days, the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, show yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain upon the earth.

 

Jer 29:30  Then came the word of the Lord to Jeremiah:

 

Hag 1:3  Then came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet, saying,

 

Zech 1:1  IN THE eighth month, in the second year [of the reign] of Darius, came the word of the Lord to Zechariah son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying, [Ezra 5:1.]

 

Luke 3:2  In the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the Word of God [concerning the attainment through Christ of salvation in the kingdom of God] came to John son of Zachariah in the wilderness (desert).

 

  • Write down the date that the word came to you

  • God speaks in many ways all = The word of the Lord

The Eye of the Heart

God speaks through our spiritual eye

Only God can open it

We can ask for God to open it

God uses our imagination to speak via the eye of the heart

Praying in the Spirit

Rom 8:26  So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.

 

Rom 8:27  And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God's will. [Ps. 139:1, 2.]

 

  • To pray in the Spirit is praying in tongues

 

Judges 1:20  But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit; 21  Guard and keep yourselves in the love of God; expect and patiently wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)--[which will bring you] unto life eternal.

 

  • We must do something – We must pray in the Spirit

  • We must learn to pray and wait on the Holy Spirit’s Presence to lead us

Intercession

1Tim 2:1 FIRST OF all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, 2  For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way. 3 For such [praying] is good and right, and [it is] pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior,

 

  • The Burden of the Lord - God places a burden upon you for someone or some thing

  • Standing in the gap – Praying on behalf off

The Anointing

Exo 30:25 And you shall make of these a holy anointing oil, a perfume compounded after the art of the perfumer; it shall be a sacred anointing oil. 26 And you shall anoint the Tent of Meeting with it, and the ark of the Testimony,

 

1John 2:27 But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides [permanently] in you; [so] then you have no need that anyone should instruct you. But just as His anointing teaches you concerning everything and is true and is no falsehood, so you must abide in (live in, never depart from) Him [being rooted in Him, knit to Him], just as [His anointing] has taught you [to do].

 

  • Anointing oil was made to make things holy in the temple and to anoint kings

  • Oil is the symbol of the Holy Spirit

  • Christ = The Anointed One – Anointed with the Holy Spirit at baptism

  • The Anointing = The Holy Spirit = The Spirit of Jesus Christ

  • The Anointing will teach you – See Module 3 – ‘The Anointing’ – To stay in His Love and Righteousness

Journaling

Jer 30:1 THE WORD that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: 2 Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Write all the words that I have spoken to you in a book.

 

Hab 2:2 And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by.

 

  • If we consider God’s word to us important we should test the word by keeping record what we think we heard

  • Remember to add the dates and the reason why God gave this word – answer / guidance / warning exc.
