The Comfort from the Holy Spirit to the church in Diepsloot – who meet in Matha’s house

One week before I announced to Martha, with whom we do outreach every Saturday in the rural area of Diepsloot that I will not be having our house church, but be attending her small house church in Diepsloot! She was very excited. Two days before the time, Martha informed me that she wanted me to come and speak at her house to those who meet in her house!

Immediately I started to ask Jesus what does this small little house church need and what does He want to say to it? I had so many things that I could and wanted to say to them. Many thoughts rushed through my mind as to what they could really need and what would benefit them the most in their circumstances! Although there were a few ideas that came up in my heart, I was not satisfied as to what they really needed and what did Jesus want to say to them!

*Jesus’ Heart and Personal message for Diepsloot*

On Sunday morning, while driving to Diepsloot, I continued to inquire from the Lord Jesus Christ, what it was that He wanted to speak to them? I continued to submit my will and plans to what the Lord Jesus had on His heart for this small band of believers, who live such difficult and circumstances, where nearly 50-70% of the people are unemployed!

As I was driving and praying and just settling my mind and heart in Christ Jesus, suddenly the Presence of the Holy Spirit came upon my left arm and shoulder in a very gentle and loving way. I felt like someone was holding my left arm, coming and standing on my side! As soon as this happened it left again. I was wondering about how awesome this was and how real God really want to be for us because He loves us so much, when suddenly the same Presence, like One who was holding up my left arm came upon me again. Clearly, I could feel the love of God come upon me in a very real and tangible way! I was in awe and even had tears in my eyes of the deep and intense love Jesus Christ has for us and how real He wants to make Himself to us! After His Presence remained tangible on my left side it left again. After a short while, the third time, His Presence, comforting and strengthening me, like Joshua who hed up the arms of Moses in battle, came upon my left side of my body! I could sense the love of Jesus Christ and realized His intense passion and tenderness for me!

Suddenly, I realized that I have been asking Jesus what He wanted to say to this small little house church of very poor and meek people! Then, the Spirit of God started to say to me that He wanted to strengthen and encourage this small group of believers! While I was thinking about which scripture to us to tell them how much Jesus loves them, I wondered which scripture Jesus wanted me to use to encourage the believers in Diepsloot?

Then the word of the Lord Jesus, Who loves me, came to me and said to me that He loves me so much and that He had a great and an awesome plan in store for this very morning, both for the people of Diepsloot and for me! Then the Holy Spirit told me that he was going amaze me and that He something very special in store for this morning and for this small house church of poor believers living in Diepsloot!

As I arrived at the meeting, where I had prearranged to meet another couple halfway, while I was waiting for them, I started to speak to Jesus and just praised Him for His amazing love and how real He wants to make Himself to us if we would just let go of our own agendas and plans, allowing Him to speak to us! Full of faith and complete trust, I asked Him to give me a passage of scripture which He wanted me to use when I encourage the church? In faith, I just opened my bible! When I looked down my eyes fell upon the following passage of scripture:

“When they had preached the good news (Gospel) to that town and *made disciples of many of the people,* they went back to Lystra and Iconium and Antioch, 22 *establishing and strengthening the souls and the hearts of the disciples,* urging and warning and *encouraging them to stand firm in the faith,* and [telling them] that it is *through many hardships and tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.”* (Acts 14:21 AMP)

When I received this word from the Lord I was greatly encouraged and knew that the Holy Spirit wanted to reveal Himself to this group of believers, in a real and very personal way!

*Meeting the Diepsloot house church*

Arriving at Martha's house church in Diepsloot, we were welcomed with great enthusiasm and hospitality by ‘Jorry’ who met us on the outside of double story house on a busy street! When we entered the house there was a great sense of excitement that we came to visit her house and the church! Martha had re-arranged the entire upper floor, sitting room, dining room and patio so that the maximum amount of people can fit into these three rooms.

All the rooms were connected and if a person stood at just the right spot everybody would be able to see and hear the speaker! Martha informed us that someone had just died out in the street and everybody had gone to pay their condolences to the man who lived that down the same street she lives in! After we have waited for some time so that all the expected people who were invited for this momentous occasion had come, we had to begin! Only about 6 people finally arrived and many empty chairs were standing in the dining room and on the patio, ready for people who were expected!

Jorry, a firey man, full of zeal and eagerness for the Lord Jesus, preached a short message on that it is better to give than to receive and share how God gave His only beloved son whom He loved and that was the greatest gift any man could ever give! He also shares how when we understand the love of God we would also give in many ways to those around us who are in need! He also shared how when we understand the love of God we would also share the gospel of the good news of Jesus with everybody around us and how this little house church would become too small! A small offering was taken up to help the needy and the orphans in the church and for some of the needs of entertaining people in Martha’s home!

By the time it was my turn to speak I looked at the chairs and kept seeing new people coming in and filling up the chairs until the house was packed with about 25-30 people, both adults, and children! God had kept bringing more and more people which I did not know where they all came from! Martha just kept giving out some bible that she had in order for the people so that they could follow the message in the bible!

As I was instructed by the Holy Spirit, I started from the passage of scripture where Jesus promised, saying:

“If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands. 16  And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another *Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby),* that He may remain with you forever-- 17 The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it *does not see Him* or *know and recognize Him.* But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and *will be in you.* 18  I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you. 19  Just a little while now, and the world will not see Me any more, *but you will see Me;* because I live, you will live also. 20  At that time [when that day comes] *you will know* [for yourselves] that I am in My Father and *you [are] in Me,* and I [am] in you. 21  The person who has My commands and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and *whoever [really] loves Me* will be loved by My Father, and I [too] will love him and *will show (reveal, manifest) Myself* to him. [I will *let Myself be clearly seen* by him and *make Myself real* to him.]” *(John 14:15 AMP)*

The Holy Spirit, through me, told them how much He loves them and how real He wants to make Jesus for each one of them; how He wants them to know that He is always there for them and that He will never leave and never forsake them! That just as Jesus promised He is still with us today and though we might think that we can’t see Him! I told them, by the Holy Spirit that Jesus wants to still touch and heal and deliver and encourage them, just like He did 2000 thousand years ago when He was walking with His own disciples.

 
I showed them from the Words of Jesus that He promised that He, Himself will not only now be ‘with’ them, but that He will be ‘in’ them as the Holy Spirit! I opened their eyes and showed them that the SAME Jesus that was with and in the disciples now also lives in each of them and that the SAME things God had done in and through Jesus He still wants to do in and through them, just as Jesus had promised:

“And these attesting signs will accompany *those who believe:* in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; They will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well. (Mark 16:17-18 AMP)

Led by the Holy Spirit, I told them that even ‘today’ He wants to demonstrate His love to them by healing their diseases and setting them free of all kinds of oppression of the devil and wants to supply in all their basic needs! I also told them He, by His Spirit wants to do the same through them as He had done through Jesus, and this was NOT for the pastor and prophet and apostle to do, but for every believer!

Many were convinced and convicted in their hearts by the message of love and encouragement of the Holy Spirit! I continued to speak on how the Holy Spirit came to help us to have a personal, living two relationship with Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit; how He wants to speak to us every day and always led us in very real and practical way in all our decisions we want to and must make in life; how He wants to KNOW Him not only in mind but also in heart and character to such a degree that He can speak to us every day of our lives!

The Holy Spirit took control of the meeting

In conclusion, I told them I want to now allow the Holy Spirit to make Jesus real to us and prayed to the Lord Jesus Christ to reveal Himself in a tangible and loving way according to His character and nature! Led by the Spirit of God I asked God to help people to become very sensitive to His Spirit?

As I was praying I clearly sensed the Presence of God started to descend upon the small congregation of people who have by now been packed the rooms to capacity! I felt a burning in the palm of my hands and asked whether there was anybody who also experienced the same. Three young girls and one young boy, the age of 10-12 indicated that they also felt a burning sensation of heat in the palm of their hands. I called them forward to come and pray for the sick people!

As I continued to wait upon the Lord the Holy Spirit suddenly gave me a word of knowledge for someone who has a pain in her right ear! One lady came forward and I prayed for her! After a short prayer, she said the pain in her ear completely disappeared! Then I asked that everybody who needed healing come forward so that those girls could lay hands upon them and pray for those who are sick! I appointed a few whom I knew had prayed for the sick before and had faith for healing! Many came forward for healing and many were prayed for many different kinds of diseases and pains and ailments. Everybody we prayed for was delivered of those sicknesses or pains that tormented them! We praised God every time someone indicated that they were healed! Many were prayed for and many were healed that we prayed for!

After this the Holy Spirit, led my pray for different things as I was led by words of knowledge which the Spirit gave me according to needs of those people who were in the house, God wanting to show His immense love and grace to all who were in need! Great boldness came upon me as I continued to speak what the Spirit of God showed me! The Holy Spirit revealed that He wanted to restore the intimate relationships that have been damaged or even hearts that was broken and felt rejected because of spouses that have left because of adultery! After this, the Lord Jesus, by His Spirit came to restore also the indirect effect that this broken covenant relationship between husbands and wives has caused to their relationship with God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! Many were deeply touched and God’s love was revealed and experienced by many! The Spirit of God’s Presence came strongly upon the congregation as God came to heal many of rejection and broken relationships!

After this, led by the Spirit, He showed me that He desired to fill many with the Holy Spirit so that they could speak in new tongues and prophecy, able to hear God’s voice, allowing the Spirit of God to flow up and out of their inmost being as Jesus promised:

All who drink of this water will be thirsty again. 14  But whoever takes a drink of the water that I will give him shall never, no never, be thirsty anymore. But the water that I will give him shall *become a spring of water welling up (flowing, bubbling) [continually] within him* unto (into, for) eternal life. *(John 4:13-14 AMP)*

Everybody started, by faith, to speak in new tongues and praising and worshipping God! The Spirit of God came upon the believers like fire and filled the house with great joy and zeal for God! The Spirit of God started to intercede from deep within the disciples, as He continued to give utterance to the believers who were boldly praying in tongues! Then the Spirit of God showed me a vision of shackles that kept many of their family members and friends and colleagues in bondage! Then the Holy Spirit led me to pray for their loved ones as they were interceding and praying for the freedom of their loved ones, just as the prophet had prophesied:

*“THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me,* because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to *bind up and heal the brokenhearted,* to *proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives* and *the opening of the prison* and of *the eyes to those who are bound,* [Rom. 10:15] 2  To *proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favor]* and the day of vengeance of our God, to *comfort all who mourn,* [Mat. 11:2-6; Luke 4:18-19; Luke 7:22]” (Isa 61:1 AMP)

The Spirit of God, continued to intercede before the throne of God for those who were lost and bound, with great compassion and intensity until there was a release in the spirit! Then a great rejoicing and freedom went up from the people as they praised God and clapped their hands! A great sense of peace and of God’ love came upon everybody as the Presence of God was thick upon everybody who was in the house! Everybody was baptized with the Holy Spirit and Fire!

A New Disciple was added to the Kingdom of God

I encourage them, by the Holy Spirit that they were all called to healed the sick and were all filled with the Holy Spirit, so that they could all show the love and power of God, which was in Jesus and which now lives in them, to the world around them! Afterwards, I asked them whether there was anybody who still wanted to speak in tongues and who struggled to see the complete breakthrough? Then I also asked who have never been baptized for the forgiveness of their sins as an adult?

One 17-year-old girl indicated that she had a great desire to speak in tongues and to be baptized with the Holy Spirit! She also indicated that she has not been baptized for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the Holy Spirit! After I had prayed with her and explained to her that the Holy Spirit wants us to not only give Him the control of our lives but even our tongues and even our entire bodies. While she was praising God and worshipping God in her own language, the Spirit of God suddenly started to give expression to her, speaking in a new heavenly language of the Spirit of God, as her spirit with God’s Spirit cried our the glories and the mysteries of God!

I briefly sat down and explained to her what was written in the word of God and how Jesus had commanded all who wanted to be His disciples and who believed in Him, had to repent and be baptised, dying with Jesus Christ, being crucified with Him, afterwards, just like He was buried, being buried with Him in baptism, through their faith, for the forgiveness of their sins and so that they could be saved from the power of sin and so that their sins can be forgiven, and so that they could also receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, which came on all those on whom hands were laid and afterwards spoke in tongues! Immediately she was baptized in Martha's bath! When I prayed for her before she was baptised, the Spirit of God was strongly upon her, and with great joy she was baptised and immerse so that she could rise to a new life and as a NEW CREATION in Christ Jesus, the sign of the covenant she was now allowed to partake so that she also could have complete access to all the promises of God in Christ Jesus, for all who believe!

We are looking forward to meeting with those who meet at Martha’s house and to hear the good news of all that the Spirit of Jesus Christ has done in all who believed!

Glory to God the Father, who loves us, and who gave His only beloved Son, so that all who believe could be saved and partake of the divine nature of God, that now lives in each of us, in whom Christ Jesus lives, by His Spirit!

From His bondservant and friend, in Christ Jesus, Who uses those who are willing and submitted to the Spirit of God.
